Directorate of Continuing Engineering Education of the University organized one-day CPD workshop on “Prequalification of Consultants and Contractors as per the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) Rules and Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) guidelines”. Representatives from the industries, professional engineers and senior faculty members attended the workshop. Prof. Dr. Sajjad Mubin (Chairman Department of Architectural Engineering and Design) briefly explained prequalification process, qualification or disqualification as per PPRA rules, principles of procurement and blacklisting of consultants and contractors. Additionally, need for the promotion of professional ethics during prequalification process was also emphasized. Dr. Amjad Hussain (Director CEEC) explained the role of continuous professional development activities in career progression. Participants were awarded with one CPD-point.
